Karissa Leigh Designs is based right here in Wesley Chapel, which makes a newborn session about as easy as it gets. When your baby is only a week or two old, a short drive matters. So does a warm room, a calm pace, and a photographer who has completed newborn safety training and spent a decade behind the camera.
Why the First Two Weeks
Newborn sessions are scheduled within the first two weeks after birth. In those early days babies sleep deeply and curl into the soft, tucked poses that disappear surprisingly fast. Most families reserve while they are still expecting, and we settle the exact date once your baby arrives. Whether you deliver at AdventHealth Wesley Chapel or BayCare Hospital Wesley Chapel, there is no long trip across Tampa Bay with a newborn in the back seat.
What the Session Feels Like
The studio is kept warm and quiet, with white noise playing throughout. Every wrap, bonnet, basket and prop is ready before you walk in, so all you need to bring is your baby and anything that means something to your family, like a blanket from a grandparent or the tiny hat from the hospital. Feeding and soothing breaks are built in. Your baby sets the pace.
Parents and siblings are welcome, and some of the photos families treasure most are the simple ones. A big brother holding his sister for the first time. A mom nose to nose with her son.
Close to Everything You Know
Life with a new baby in Wesley Chapel looks familiar to a lot of families here: stroller laps around the lagoon at Epperson, a coffee run at The Shops at Wiregrass, a slow walk once the evening cools off. If you live in Wiregrass Ranch, Seven Oaks, Meadow Pointe, Epperson or Avalon Park, the studio is close by, and getting home in time for the next nap is easy.
